Jan 6. ‘Shaman’ Runs For Congressional Seat

According to a report, one of the most recognized faces from the melee in the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, was Jacob Chansley, a protester who carried a spear and wore a horned fur helmet and face paint.

He now wants to be an elected member of Congress.

According to publicly available records, on Thursday, 35-year-old Chansley submitted a candidate declaration of interest, declaring his intention to compete for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District seat in the next election as a Libertarian.

In the candidate’s declaration of interest papers that he submitted to the Arizona Secretary of State’s office, he said his name is Jacob Angeli-Chansley. Chansely is a native of the Phoenix metropolitan region.

Republican U.S. Representative Debbie Lesko, 64, who has served the area since 2018, said a few weeks ago that she would not be running for re-election. January 2025 marks the formal conclusion of her mandate.

During his trial for his alleged role in the Capitol uprising, Chansley accepted the felony charge of ‘impeding an official procedure.’

In November 2021, he received a 41-month jail term, of which he spent around 27 months, and was then sent to a halfway home in Phoenix in March 2023.

The U.S. Constitution does not ban convicts from pursuing federal office.

However, under Arizona law, felons cannot vote until they have had their voting privileges restored.

In a recent editorial, Jacob Chansley claimed he had proof that January 6 was a deep-state psyop.

He said that the Mockingbird Media called him the “QAnon Shaman,” and he has deciphered the lies at the heart of the J6 story. In a nutshell, J6 was a Deep State-orchestrated event that was utilized to introduce a PSYOP aimed at Trump and his followers, falsely accusing them of being domestic terrorists.

Governments often use what is called “Psy-Ops,” or psychological operations, to manipulate the minds of their citizens. His post included supporting evidence for his claim and strategies for conveying it to others.
