Senate Intel Vows To Get Access To Classified Documents

(RoyalPatriot.com )- A bipartisan effort in the Senate Intelligence Committee is underway to get access to classified documents found at the homes of President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, according to Newsmax. The frustration was reportedly expressed by Democratic Chairman Mark Warner and Republican Vice Chairman Marco Rubio.

After a brief with the Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, Warner said that the committee will work to ensure that they conduct their constitutional oversight responsibility, according to CNN. He emphasized the committee’s “unanimous” conviction that the decision of the Department of Justice to retain the contents of the classified material is “not going to stand, and all things will be on the table to make sure that doesn’t happen.”

He also stated that the committee’s job is to make sure that the country is protected, and its intelligence remains uncompromised. Warner then lambasted the idea that the Senate needs to wait until a “special prosecutor blesses the intelligence committee’s oversight.”

Classified material has been a hot-button topic in the last five months since the FBI raided Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago in August. Since then, President Biden’s attorneys discovered classified documents in his office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, according to American Pigeon.

American Pigeon also reported that former Vice President Mike Pence became the third to possess classified documents when he asked an attorney to conduct a search, contradicting a previous statement that he had not taken information with him when he left office.

Sen. Rubio reportedly echoed Warner’s comments, calling the meeting with the national intelligence director “unsatisfying.” Sen. Tom Cotton said that he would “impose consequences” on the Biden administration’s future nominees until they allow Congress to gain access to the classified material taken by Biden, Trump, and Pence.
