James O’Keefe Gets New Role After Project Veritas

(RoyalPatriot.com )- After being ousted from Project Veritas earlier this year, James O’Keefe has now launched another business venture.

On Wednesday, O’Keefe announced that he was starting O’Keefe Media Group. In announcing the move, he promised that he would surrounded himself with “the most elite journalists in the world.”

The board of directors of Project Veritas said recently that they wanted to set things straight with O’Keefe. However, they wouldn’t have any contact with him after there was an incident that happened last month.

The board alleges that O’Keefe – who founded Project Veritas in 2010 and has led it since then – misspent a large amount of money from donors. They also say he broke bylaws of the organization by some of his actions.

To announce his new project, O’Keefe released a video, in which he said:

“The irony of the ACORN story is that it took a 25-year-old with a hidden camera a few days to do what billion-dollar networks and journalists could not do in a decade. I spent 14 years creating the most effective non-profit newsroom this country has even seen.

“And in paving the way to establish citizen journalism, I have been defamed, arrested, raided and ultimately removed from the organization I spent so much time developing credibility of.

“I always knew they would try to ruin the reputations of those who expose them, the pharma giants, the three-letter government agencies and those who I thought I could trust.”

The reference to the pharma giants is pertinent because when O’Keefe was removed from Project Veritas, he released a lengthy video that said only one thing at the company changed in the weeks leading up to his departure.

That was the fact that the company released undercover sting videos they shot of a supposed employee from Pfizer who made claims about some things that were going on inside the major pharmaceutical company.

Back in February, the board of directors of Project Veritas released a statement of its own after the incident, saying they “made numerous attempts in the last 14 days to have a conversation with James, but he ignored our outreach and decided to instead leak private information to others, either by doing so himself or by proxy.

The board added:

“James has spent an excessive amount of donor funds in the last three years on personal luxuries.”

O’Keefe also addressed the incident in question that saw him depart Project Veritas. He said a “sleeping giant” was “awakened,” and that he was in the process of building “an army of investigators and exposers.”

He insisted that his aim with his new media group would be to expose corruption, no matter what it takes. He says in the video:

“Welcome to the O’Keefe Media Group, where we will never be shut down because not only do I own it, but you own it, too. Support us and sponsor our army of journalists by becoming a founding member today.”
