Voters Trust Republicans To Fix Inflation, Poll Finds

( )- A poll released last week found that voters trust Republicans far more than Democrats when it comes to economic issues like jobs and inflation.

According to the recent Politico/Morning Consult poll, respondents trust Republicans over Democrats when it comes to handling the economy by an 8-point margin, 46 percent to 38 percent.

When asked which party they trust to create jobs, respondents also favored Republicans over Democrats 45 percent to 40 percent.

The largest margin, however, was on the question of whom they trust more to solve the current Biden-flation. Respondents favored Republicans over Democrats by ten points, 46 percent to 36 percent.

Republicans were also favored when it comes to immigration, 47 percent to the Democrats’ 39 percent.

Biden’s approval remains underwater in the Morning Consult poll, with only 46 percent approving while the majority, 52 percent disapproving.

Voters preferring Republicans on jobs, the economy, and inflation is bad news for the Democrats heading into November as virtually every poll shows that these are the top issues for voters.

A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll found most respondents (30 percent) said inflation is the number one issue. Immigration and crime tied for second with only 8 percent each.

With gas prices once again rising and the stock market plummeting as interest rates continue to climb, the problem for Democrats is only poised to get worse.

In the YouGov/Yahoo poll released this week, 46 percent of respondents said things have only gotten worse since Joe Biden became president. That includes the majority of Republicans (78 percent) and Independents (51 percent). Just 17 percent of Democrats said things have gotten worse.

Only 19 percent of respondents said things under Biden have gotten better, among them, 42 percent of Democrats, while 34 percent of Democrats said things have stayed about the same.
