(RoyalPatriot.com )- President Vladimir Putin of Russia has sent an incredible 150,000 of his troops to the border of Ukraine as tensions with the West increase and the controversial authoritarian leader amps up anti-Ukraine rhetoric ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Incredible satellite images show how hundreds of thousands of Russian soldiers are now positioned at the border with armored vehicles, preparing to invade the country from a base in the annexed region of Crimea.

The heightening of tensions with Ukraine has drawn criticism from all over the world, not just from President Joe Biden – who thinks he sounds really tough when he tries to stand up to Putin – but also from the European Union’s top foreign affairs representative, Josep Borrell.
Following a meeting of European foreign ministers, Borrell said that the ramping up of Russian troops on the Ukrainian border is the “highest military deployment of the Russian army on the Ukrainian borders ever.”
“It’s clear that it’s a matter of concern when you deploy a lot of troops. Well, a spark can jump here or there,” he added. “It is more than 150,000 Russian troops massing on the Ukrainian borders and in Crimea…the risk of further escalation is evident.”
The Russian troops are roughly 280 km from Ukraine-controlled territory and at least 1,000 vehicles can be seen on the ground, along with tents for the infantry troops.
HIGH STAKES—no joke.

The Pentagon confirmed that this is a larger build-up of the Russian military than in 2014, and that it remains unclear whether it is for training purposes or whether the Russian government is really planning on advancing into Ukraine.
After addressing the EU foreign ministers this week, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba urged European leaders to impose new economic sanctions on Russia in response, in hope that it will force Russia to walk back any plans to take any Ukrainian land.
And while President Joe Biden is likely to take this as an opportunity to look tough, some Democrats – like the ever-sane former Representative Tulsi Gabbard – are calling for deescalations.
“Are we prepared to see our loved ones burn alive in a nuclear holocaust in a war with Russia over Ukraine?” the former presidential candidate asked.

“If not, cut out the macho saber rattling and deescalate before it’s too late,” she added.
Let’s just hope people keep the big red buttons away from President Biden.
