(RoyalPatriot.com)- Former Secretary of State and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton appears to have learned nothing from her “basket of deplorables” scandal, when she labeled a huge section of the voting public beyond the pale and lost the election. During a recent interview with New York Times Opinion podcast host Kara Swisher, Clinton said that most Republicans are “spineless enablers” and “cowards.”
Clinton leveled the insults against Republicans who don’t admit that they don’t actually support President Donald Trump in his re-election campaign. Most Republicans, she claimed, “have been cowards, spineless enablers” of the president, despite them “going to want to close the page” and “want to see [Trump] gone as much as we do, but they can’t say it publicly.”
Former First Lady Hillary Clinton said that most Republicans don’t actually support the president, indicating that they are secretly on her side while insulting them at the same time.
Who told her that was a winning strategy?
Clinton provided no evidence that backed up her claim that most Republicans want to see President Trump gone, either. Polls show that her claims are wrong, too. Polls repeatedly show the president with support in the 90s among Republicans.
During the podcast, Clinton went as far as saying she felt “literally sick” at the thought of President Donald Trump winning a second term in November, telling Swisher that she cannot “entertain the idea of him winning” and that “it would cause cognitive dissonance of a grave degree.”
“It makes me literally sick to my stomach to think that we’d have four more years of this abuse and destruction of our institutions,” she claimed, without describing what institutions that president has destroyed.
“And damaging of our norms and our values, and lessening of our leadership and the list goes on,” she said, without providing any evidence or examples of norms and values that the president has damaged.
The exchange became bizarre when the topic of COVID-19 came up, with the host asking Clinton if a woman being in charge makes a difference with the COVID-19 pandemic.
“You noted that a lot of countries that did best in the pandemic were led by women. Do you think a woman president in the United States would handle the pandemic better?” she was asked.
“I have no doubt, especially if it were me,” Clinton responded.
Clinton then failed to acknowledge that the countries she is talking about include many other smaller countries that have been able to handle the virus better primarily because their population is much smaller.
Is this “cowards” comment the new “basket of deplorables”?
