(RoyalPatriot.com )- According to the Gateway Pundit, the Senate has confirmed 81 of President Biden’s nominees in the first five months of his presidency compared to only 45 of President Trump’s nominees during the same time period.
Biden has already sent 160 nominees to the Senate for confirmation. During the same time period, President Trump had only formerly nominated 104 people. So percentage-wise, the Senate has confirmed only about 7% more of Biden’s nominees than it did Trump’s.
This indicates two things.
First, the Biden White House is acting more swiftly to get nominees named to positions than the Trump White House did.
Second, Republican Senators are not deploying the same delay and obstruction tactics Democrats exploited during Trump’s Presidency.
Though, this is hardly surprising.
For Democrats, no tactic is off the table. They made full use of the filibuster throughout Trump’s presidency – including to block his nominations.
The very same Democrats who now claim the filibuster is the worst thing in the world made use of it 314 times to obstruct President Trump. For perspective, prior to Trump, the total number of times the filibuster was used during every other presidency in history combined was only 244 times.
Obstructing President Trump’s nominees was a go-to strategy for the Democrats.
The Republicans, on the other hand, appear unwilling to play hardball.
As a result, some of the most radical Biden nominees are now serving in his Administration. This includes radical Defund the Police Leftist Vanita Gupta, who now holds the number three spot in the Justice Department. Gupta squeaked in, to be sure, but not without the help of Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski. Biden’s pick to head the Civil Rights Division, Kristen Clarke – another radical Left Defund the Police activist – was also confirmed with the help of Republican Senator Susan Collins.
Sadly, Merrick Garland, the Attorney General that is now targeting Biden’s political opponents in the guise of going after “White Supremacist Domestic Terrorists” was confirmed by a vote of 70 to 30. In other words, twenty Senate Republicans confirmed the man who is now using the Department of Justice to attack the President Biden’s political enemies.
