(RoyalPatriot.com )- Former New York Democratic Rep. Joe Crowley, who was unseated by extremist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the 2018 primary election, recently claimed that former President Donald Trump inadvertently helped AOC win her House seat.
It could be true, or it could be bitterness that he lost to one of the most extreme Democratic candidates in decades…
During a recent interview on the Pro Politics with Zac McCrary podcast, the former Democratic congressman reflected on his experience being unseated by AOC and claimed that then-President Donald Trump influenced voters in a way that helped AOC.
“You know, I never owned the seat in that congressional district. A congressional district is not owned by any one person,” Crowley said. “It was owned by the people of the 14th Congressional District.”
Crowley went on to say that he had a fantastic experience serving the people of the district in Congress for 20 years, and that he looks back fondly on the time he spent in politics.
When asked whether there is anything he might have done differently, looking back on the election, he claimed that he now has a better understanding of “just how powerful the election of Donald Trump was.”
“In many respects, it lit the fire onto the base of our party, and I think that’s a good thing in many respects. You know, maybe personally, it didn’t work out for me…but I think he created the energy we needed to oust him as president in four years,” he said.
Crowley said nothing about the well-documented evidence of voter fraud and misconduct in the 2020 presidential election.
It also sounded as though he thinks AOC is a positive thing for his party…
Does he think that just because he isn’t a fan of Donald Trump, he needs to be a fan of his party’s lurch to the far left?
