(RoyalPatriot.com )- Donald Trump has recruited an Atlanta criminal defense attorney known for defending rappers to represent him in the special grand jury investigation into whether he improperly interfered in the 2020 Georgia race.
Cardi B, Migos, and Gucci Mane are Drew Findling’s clients. His Twitter bio contains #BillionDollarLawyer, and his Instagram is full of photographs with famous clientele.
His most recent Instagram post, two days after the Supreme Court repealed Roe v. Wade, states his business is “working to restore a woman’s right to choose,” implying his personal views don’t coincide with Trump’s Republican Party. He promised free legal representation to anyone charged under Georgia’s abortion law.
After Trump questioned LeBron James’ intelligence in August 2018, Findling called Trump the “racist creator of phony Trump University.”
Findling Law Firm, Jennifer Little and Dwight Thomas will represent Trump, the firm stated Thursday.
Findling stated in an email that he would “strongly defend” Trump.
The lawyer said he might disagree politically with many of his clients, but that won’t stop him from defending them. The focus on President Trump in Fulton County, Georgia, is erroneous and politically motivated. He said his office is committed to safeguarding against this injustice.
Little, a former prosecutor, said Trump’s attorneys were “handpicked” and that “our team adds to his defense’s integrity.”
She said their politically diverse attorneys with different opinions had all reached the same conclusion, and they’ll defend their client and the Constitution as a team.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis requested the special grand jury in May.
Willis has said since the probe began that she’s interested in a January 2021 phone call between Trump and Raffensperger. Trump suggested Raffensperger could “find” the votes needed to win the state.
Trump purportedly said that he needed 11,779 more votes than he had during the call. He also said, “We won state.”
Willis filed applications last month to compel testimony from seven Trump aides and advisers, including Rudy Giuliani and Lindsey Graham. She’s considering subpoenaing the ex-president.
Findling defended Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill in a racketeering trial that jeopardized his career. In 2013, Hill was acquitted on 27 felony charges of exploiting his office for personal gain.
Findling is defending Hill against allegations in a federal indictment accusing him of violating the civil rights of multiple people in his agency’s custody by leaving them strapped in a restraint chair for hours.
