Tom Cotton Reveals How Joe Biden Could Truly Stop Border Crisis If He Cared

( )- Republican Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton argued on Friday that the only reason there is a crisis on the southern border is because President Joe Biden doesn’t care to stop it.

Cotton insisted that too many Democrats are “beholden” to the idea that the United States should have no borders, and that President Biden could stop the crisis in its tracks if he would just say that the United States won’t allow any more migrants to cross the border.

“There is nothing virtuous to inducing migrants to make a journey that is dangerous to the country, even when they don’t have a legal right to be here,” he said during an episode of “America Reports” on Fox News.

Border crossings have spiked since President Joe Biden took office and promised tens of millions of illegal aliens in the United States an eight-year path to citizenship. On the border, hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens are being apprehended, with detention facilities packed full of children and adults in facilities designed for significantly lower numbers of people.

It’s so bad that even CNN is admitting it’s a crisis.

Cotton reminded viewers that under the Trump administration, migrants were required to stay in Mexico while they processed their asylum claims, which dramatically decreased the number of people crossing the border. It meant that people would not be admitted into the country while they await their day in court – a process that has historically led to large numbers of illegal aliens to remain in the U.S. indefinitely.

But Biden won’t commit to keeping thepolicy and has reverted back to the Obama-era practice of letting everyone in regardless.

“There are too many Democrats who don’t believe in borders, and think we should be open to the entire world,” Cotton said.

In March, Senator Cotton went to the border to see the crisis for himself. During a conversation with the press, he revealed how there are “literally signs on the ground pointing these migrants in the direction to the Border Patrol agents because they’re not running away from the Border Patrol.”

Cotton also told Fox News that there has been a five-fold increase in the number of illegals crossing the border in March.

Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris was assigned to oversee negotiations with South American governments to see if there’s anything they can do to stop people heading to the U.S. border but has yet to travel down south and begin those discussions.
