(RoyalPatriot.com )- Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz wants the FBI and the Department of Justice to search through records belonging to President Joe Biden that are currently stored at the University of Delaware.
After classified documents were found at Biden’s Delaware home and at a private office he had in Washington, D.C., Cruz wants to know whether the president could have more classified documents in other places.
The first group of classified documents were found at the office of the think tank Penn Biden Center. That happened on November 2, right before the midterm elections, but news of that wasn’t released until recently.
Then, some of Biden’s personal attorneys found additional classified documents located at the president’s home three different times. The first set were found on December 20 in his garage, the second on January 11 in his study, and the third on January 12 also in his study.
Last week, the FBI conducted a search at Biden’s home that took 13 hours. During that search, they discovered “six items consisting of documents with classification markings.”
Appearing on “The Verdict” podcast recently, Cruz said that the natural next step is for officials with various federal agencies to investigate Biden’s records from when he served in the Senate, which are currently at the University of Delaware not far from his Wilmington home.
As he said:
“Let me tell you what the next step in this scandal is going to be. The next step in this scandal is going to be, OK, if Biden’s Senate documents include classified documents outside of classified settings — which is illegal — how many more classified documents are illegally in his Senate papers?
“And here’s where this matters in particular, which is the University of Delaware has more than 1,850 boxes of records from Joe Biden’s Senate tenure, which he gave to the University of Delaware.”
Cruz went on to explain that it’s unlikely that the university is storing those files in a secure location. This means that anyone could potentially have full access to classified documents, the senator said.
Those documents were actually a focal point of the 2020 presidential campaign. Some media organizations were hoping to gain access to some documents in those files to look into the allegations of sexual harassment that were brought up against Biden.
But, the University of Delaware turned down those requests, saying that they wouldn’t be releasing them to anyone until two years following Biden’s last time as a public official.
Cruz concluded his appearance by saying:
“I am right now calling for the Department of Justice, for the FBI, to examine all 1,850 boxes of those Senate records to see how many additional classified documents are in those records.
“The answer should be none. But, given Biden’s pattern, we should have zero reason to have any confidence that there are not multiple classified documents within those 1,850 boxes of Senate records.”
