A Super PAC is poised to hand Joe Biden $50 million in undisclosed donations, according to Fox News. The story was first broken by The New York Times, and records reportedly show that Future Forward PAC is presumably affiliated with the dark money nonprofit, Future Forward USA Action.
In the first half of the year, the PAC reported only $67,000 in contributions. But the PAC’s nonprofit has shifted tens of millions into elections over the last few years. The organization, which keeps donations private, is preparing to hand over the large sum of cash to Biden’s campaigns as he seeks a second term.
The PAC is also affiliated with Arabella Advisors, a consulting firm that is used as a passthrough for large amounts of cash. The Impetus Fund is reportedly part of that firm. The group has no online presence besides its incorporation records and tax forms, Fox News reported. In 2020, the fund reportedly received $67 million from one donor, although his or her identity is kept secret.
Since 2020, Future Forward USA Action has contributed $77 million to the PAC, which is around 40 percent of the total contributions.
Receiving millions in undisclosed donations appears hypocritical to some. Caitlin Sutherland, executive director of Americans for Public Trust, called the president out for previous remarks saying that “dark money erodes public trust.” She continued to note foreign contributions to Democratic politicians.
The news comes as left-wing billionaire George Soros is preparing to turn Texas blue. He has recently funneled money into a “mysterious Texas entity” that will help elect more Democrats around the Lone Star state. Soros’ Democracy PAC II has contributed $750,000 to the Texas Majority PAC, according to SEC filings.
Details of the entity are also elusive, but its job postings on Gain Power reveal that the PAC is “dedicated to flipping Texas blue by building year-round Democratic infrastructure in the key regions of Texas.”
