In the days leading up to the Oscars, street art took over several famous locations in Hollywood and West Los Angeles in early March. The art focused on the fentanyl epidemic and took a not-so-subtle swipe at politicians who may be to blame, such as President Joe Biden, Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), and Governor Gavin Newsom of California (D). Adam Schiff (D-Ca), a congressman and U.S. Senate contender, also featured in the striking artwork.
Biden, Newsom, McConnell, and Schiff are shown as pallbearers next to a coffin covered with an American flag while enjoying the rain of cash. The text plainly states that 100,000 people die each year from fentanyl. The artist depicts Chinese tyrant Xí Jìnpíng, grinning from ear to ear, with blood-soaked hands, using fentanyl tablets as a background.
The artwork seems to have been created by conservative street artist Sabo (Unsavory Agents), who uses eye-catching images and a dark sense of humor to shame celebrities, politicians, corporations, and the government.
Reports show overdoses have surpassed all other causes of mortality among Americans between the ages of 18 and 45, and this artwork is a sobering reminder of the devastation that fentanyl has wrought on American communities. If President Biden signs the FEND Off Fentanyl Act into law, it would crack down on the Mexican cartels and Chinese drug dealers that bring the deadly substance into the United States.
Despite China’s government authorities enabling the spread of a poisonous medication that killed an entire generation of Americans and murdered some of America’s most cherished stars, Hollywood has a history of glorifying China and making it the hero of several movies.
The artwork was created following the release of Peter Schweizer’s book, which reveals that the spread of fentanyl in America is a Chinese operation rather than a Mexican drug cartel operation.
A lot of the people who sell fentanyl are either high-level members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) or CCP advisors. Schweizer recently said that every part of the supply chain for the fentanyl that is killing 100,000 Americans is in Chinese hands.
