Stormy Daniel’s Ex-Lawyer Says Trump ‘Victim of the System’

In a recent turn of events, it seems as though one of Donald Trump’s biggest foes seems to have had a change of heart regarding the former President’s recent legal troubles. Michael Avenatti is the former attorney for the infamous Stormy Daniels, an adult film star whose claims of hush money from Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign have made their way to the U.S. courts on the counts of business fraud. Avenatti rose to public fame during that time as the lawyer for Daniels during one of Trump’s most controversial allegations that the former president had an affair with the adult actress.

Michael Avenatti established himself as one of the most famous anti-Trump commentators during his campaign and presidency, now claiming that the former president is a victim of his New York court case, calling it, “absolute overkill” and “election interference”. Avenatti stated that he believes the verdict of Donald Trump should be settled at the ballot box during the 2024 presidential election.

The former lawyer claims the prosecutors in Trump’s case are all seeking popularity by attempting to convict Trump of the four charges held against him. Avenatti supports his claims that the case is politically motivated by higher-ups in the government who do not want Trump to succeed in another election win, implementing Democratic prosecutors.

Avenatti believes that this case is a real problem within the system, in his own words, “If Michael Avenatti is coming to his defense – that should tell people something”. Avenatti has gone as far as to show his support for Trump by claiming he has spoken to the former president’s legal team in hopes of testifying against the prosecutors in the New York fraud case.

Former lawyer Michael Avenatti is no stranger to controversy himself. In June of 2022, the former attorney was sentenced to four years in federal prison after being charged with stealing money from many clients, including Daniels.
