Steve Bannon Says Trump “Not Good Enough Right Now”

(RoyalPatriot.com )- You know it’s bad for Donald Trump’s reelection campaign when even his biggest supporter is voicing frustration with the former president.

Podcaster Steve Bannon criticized the 2024 Republican presidential candidate during his War Room podcast last Friday.

While blasting Congressional Democrats for the $1.5 trillion omnibus spending bill to fund the government, Bannon chided Trump for not being more involved in opposing such reckless spending.

He told Trump to get off Truth Social and “get the game up.”

Bannon said Trump has to “get better” and what the former president is doing now is “just not good enough.”

While conceding that he hates being “brutally frank” with Trump, Bannon defended his criticism, saying, “we’re fighting for the country.” He urged Trump to “get engaged” in the current fights, arguing that doing so “sets the stage for your second term.”

But Bannon’s frustration with his chosen candidate continued this week.

On Wednesday, Trump took to Truth Social to tease an upcoming “major announcement,” prompting many of his die-hard supporters to set their expectations rather high.

Some speculated that the former president would be announcing his running mate, with many of them eagerly suggesting that Trump was going to choose defeated Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake. Others floated the theory that Trump was going to announce a run for Speaker of the House.

In the end, Trump’s “big announcement” was that he sold his likeness to a company that was selling $99 “Trump trading card” NFTs. The digital trading cards featured a slimmed-down Trump Photoshopped in heroic poses, including Astronaut Trump, Sheriff Trump, and Superhero Trump with lasers shooting from his eyes.

During his Thursday podcast, a disgusted Bannon responded to the NFT announcement by saying, “I can’t do this anymore.”

Calling Trump the “one of the greatest presidents in history,” Bannon said whoever made the decision “oughta be fired today.”
