Steve Bannon Says It’s Time For Mitch McConnell To Go

( Former President Donald Trump and former adviser Steve Bannon are back on the same page, with both political figures lashing out this week at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

During an episode of Steve Bannon’s War Room on the Real America’s Voice network, Bannon called McConnell a “poison” and said that he “has got to go.”

Bannon said that McConnell is “dumping on” Lara Trump and other Trump allies and that he “doesn’t want any MAGA senators.”

“Mitch McConnel’s not leader if it’s not for Donald Trump,” he added.

Former President Donald Trump was even harsher in his words for the Senate Minority Leader and appeared to be declaring war on his leadership.

In a statement released by his PAC, the former president said, “Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again.”

Trump reminded readers that he received the most votes of any sitting president in history and that Republicans won a majority in at least 59 of the 98 partisan legislative chambers. He also described how Democrats failed to flip a single legislative chamber in the country from Republican to Democrat.

“And in “Mitch’s Senate,” over the last two election cycles, I single-handedly saved at least 12 Senate seats, more than eight in the 2020 cycle alone—and then came the Georgia disaster, where we should have won both U.S. Senate seats, but McConnell matched the Democrat offer of $2,000 stimulus checks with $600. How does that work? It became the Democrats’ principal advertisement, and a big winner for them it was,” Trump added.

It was the clearest indication yet that the former president intends to use his influence in the Republican Party to oust those who hurt his chances of re-election, and who hurt the Republican Party in the months running up to the 2020 election.

Trump said that before the pandemic, republicans delivered the greatest economy and jobs numbers in America’s history.

“We cut taxes and regulations, rebuilt our military, took care of our Vets, became energy independent, built the wall and stopped the massive inflow of illegals into our Country,” he added.

He said that “third rate ‘leaders’” cannot be allowed to dictate America’s future.

President Donald Trump pardoned Steve Bannon during his final days in office, and reports suggested that the two had spoken over the phone during the president’s battle for election integrity.

This latest coordinated attack against the Republican establishment could mean that they are preparing to work together once again.
