“Star Trek” Actor Dies Suddenly

(RoyalPatriot.com )- According to reports, Annie Wersching, a 45-year-old Hollywood actress, passed away on Sunday.

Among other television series, Annie Wersching appeared as a lead in “Star Trek,” “24,” and “Vampire Diaries.”

According to a statement from her publicist, the actress passed away from cancer.

In a statement, actor Stephen Full, Wersching’s husband, said his family’s soul has a vast hole in it. She did, however, leave them the tools to fill it.

Reports show executive producer and director of “24” Jon Cassar also paid tribute. He stated that more pieces of his heart are broken than he can count. Annie entered his life with an open heart and an infectious smile. He was astounded by her talents. With every cast and crew member working with her, Annie became more than just a coworker. She became a true friend. She will truly be missed.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Wersching was born and raised in St. Louis. She spent her formative years performing in musical theater and competitive Irish dance before enrolling at Millikin University, earning a BFA in musical theater in 1999.

She lived in Chicago before touring with Anything Goes and A Christmas Carol. Later, she appeared in renowned theaters and festivals, including Chicago’s Victory Gardens, the Marriott Lincolnshire, and the Utah Shakespearean Festival.

Wersching was primarily a voice actress for television, but she also provided voices for video games, most recently for Bioware’s 2019 online action RPG Anthem. She is best known for her role as Tess in The Last of Us, a video game developed by Naughty Dog.

Twenty years after she made her screen acting debut in a Star Trek: Enterprise episode, one of her final roles was in Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard.

Reports show that despite being diagnosed with cancer in 2020, Wersching kept up her shooting schedule.

She is survived by her husband and their three children, Freddie, Ozzie, and Archie.
