Star From “Honey Boo Boo” Involved In Police Chase

(RoyalPatriot.com )- According to the Monroe County Reporter, Alana Thompson, better known as “Honey Boo Boo” on the T.V. program, was engaged in a three-mile automobile pursuit with police last Tuesday in Monroe County, Georgia.

Her boyfriend was apparently at the wheel of a Dodge Charger, and the 17-year-old Thompson was a passenger. The car’s owner was found to be wanted by police when they ran the tags around 4:30 p.m. According to the source, the police attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the motorist sped off.

After almost three miles of pursuit, an officer utilized a precise immobilization technique (PIT) to spin and immobilize the suspect automobile.

Thompson’s 21-year-old boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, was detained and charged with DUI, escaping the police, and outstanding warrants. A speeding ticket was also issued to him. Thompson was apparently cleared of any wrongdoing and would testify as a witness.

Another passenger, 24-year-old Julian Malik Divon Williams, was detained for having unpaid warrants.

After spending two days in prison, Carswell was allegedly freed on a $25,000 bail. WFTV-9 reports that he was at first on the run for a minor traffic offense. Police reportedly discovered cannabis when searching the car.

Over the last two years, Thompson and Carswell have been an item. She spoke about the couple’s age difference and their status as an interracial couple in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

She said her sister approves, his mom approves, and they’re happy, so she doesn’t care at all what the fans think or what the detractors think.

This is the 17-year-old’s first high-profile romance. It was reported that Thompson and Carswell were both going to have weight reduction surgery in August.

She’s been open with fans in the past about how she’s struggled to lose weight the healthy way. Pumpkin (Lauryn Efird), Thompson’s guardian and half-sister, agreed to her have the surgery done because she felt it was in her best interests.

When their mother was jailed for drug use in 2019, she was granted custody of her younger sister.
