(RoyalPatriot.com )- Fox corporation CEO Lachlan Murdoch allegedly keeps Fox News favorable toward Trump despite his belief that Trump is bad for the country, according to Mediaite. A new report from CNN’s Oliver Darcy claims that the CEO keeps Trump around because he does not want viewers to stop watching the network.
Darcy reports that since Trump is considering a 2024 presidential run, Murdoch is conflicted. Negative coverage of the former president could alienate his viewers, which would be bad for the network because of Trump’s popularity amongst viewers.
In CNN’s “Reliable Sources,” Darcy writes that the Fox News executive has criticized Trump as being “bad for the country.” He denounced the president in “harsh terms” for his behavior.
“In private this year, the Fox Corp. chief executive has freely criticized Trump, saying that he disagrees with much of the way the former President behaves, sources tell me. Murdoch has gone so far as to tell people that he believes if Trump were to run again, it would be bad for the country, I’m told,” Darcy writes.
Darcy continued to say that Murdoch knows that negative coverage of the president would be bad for business, so he keeps his views close to his vest. The report comes amid Fox News’ Sean Hannity cut off Mark Levine during his rant about the FBI’s raid of Trump at his home in Mar-a-Lago, which was allegedly about classified documents that Trump was keeping after he left office, though he has still not yet been charged with a crime.
Levin called the raid a witch hunt and said that the Department of Justice failed in conducting a criminal investigation because there was nothing there. As he mentioned the investigation going on in New York, Levin was cut off by outro music signifying the end of the segment. “Oh Christ, you’re cutting me off early. I’m done,” he said.
