Ron DeSantis To Make Florida 22nd Constitutional Carry State

( )- Popular Republican Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis is transforming the state, creating a bastion of freedom in the United States and giving its residents access to the rights that the nation’s founders intended all along.

According to a new report from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the country is now on track to become the 22nd state in the country to allow “constitutional carry.”

The idea of allowing all residents to legally carry a firearm at all times in the state has now become a “priority” for Republican legislators in the state, with legislation already introduced by Republican Rep. Anthony Sabatini to get rid of the concealed carry permit requirements in the state. An open carry law, that wouldn’t require any resident to have a permit to carry a legal firearm, would be introduced by the bill.

Governor DeSantis has also confirmed that he would sign any such legislation if it was put on his desk.

When asked by Matt Collins of Florida Gun Rights’ whether he would sign the legislation if it was put on his desk, DeSantis responded, “of course.”

If Florida passes such a law, and it’s looking pretty likely at this point, the state will join the ranks of Wyoming, West Virginia, Vermont, Utah, Texas, Tennessee, South Dakota, Oklahoma, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Montana, Missouri, Mississippi, Maine, Kentucky, Kansas, Iowa, Idaho, Arkansas, Arizona, and Alaska.
