(RoyalPatriot.com )- For several weeks now, the American corporate media has been promoting the narrative that there is an ongoing “feud” between Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former President Donald Trump.
After a recent interview on One America News where Trump blasted Republicans as “cowards” for refusing to publicly declare their booster shot status, the media seized on his remarks, claiming Trump’s comment was directed at DeSantis.
On top of that, in a recent tweet, New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman claimed Trump had been complaining to “a range of aides” that Ron DeSantis doesn’t give the former president the respect Trump thinks he deserves “in the pre-2024 leadup.”
Axios writer Jonathan Swan also got in on the act, writing a story titled “Trump dogs ‘dull’ DeSantis ahead of potential 2024 matchup.”
In his report, Swan cited an anonymous source who said behind the scenes Trump had been heard harshly criticizing DeSantis “on multiple occasions.” According to this source, Trump makes a point of telling people he isn’t worried about a possible DeSantis primary challenge in 2024 because DeSantis “has no personal charisma and has a dull personality.”
However, Swan noted that in a recent interview with the popular “Ruthless” podcast, DeSantis dismissed the entire “feud” narrative, calling it a “media invention.”
And this Tuesday, Governor DeSantis again downplayed the reports of this so-called feud while appearing on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle.”
The savvy Florida Republican told host Laura Ingraham that the American corporate media is “trying to manufacture something” where nothing exists.
DeSantis said despite everyone telling Trump not to endorse DeSantis when he ran for governor in 2018, Trump endorsed him. And when Trump ran in 2020, Florida has his back. DeSantis said on all the big issues, he and Trump see eye-to-eye and he has “zero animosity” against the former President.
DeSantis told Ingraham that the media’s goal in promoting this feud narrative is to distract from the failure of Joe Biden’s presidency by trying to “create fissures” within the Republican Party.
“That ain’t going to happen,” DeSantis added.
