(RoyalPatriot.com )- President Biden’s economic policies have been criticized by Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis, who claims that Biden despises American energy independence.
Biden lobbied for and received a $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief measure in 2021 and then a $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill later that year, reports show. Biden planned a $5.8 trillion budget at the end of March 2022, and the Biden administration stated last week that three oil and gas leases, including one in Alaska, had been revoked.
In an interview, DeSantis explained that people are getting hammered with high gas prices, and overall inflation is due to Biden’s habit of printing U.S. dollars since he took office. The interviewer agreed and stated that we see record gas prices, and folks are hurting. DeSantis noted that in Florida, there are a lot of people who are on fixed incomes and despite this, oil and gas leases had been terminated.
Reports show Biden’s Department of the Interior canceled plans to drill for oil on nearly 1 million acres in Alaska’s Cook Inlet, telling CBS News that the decision was due to a lack of business interest in leasing in the area. And because of conflicting court orders that impeded work on the proposed lease sales, the Department of Interior canceled two leases in the Gulf of Mexico.
In the interview, Governor DeSantis accused the Biden Administration of intentionally reducing our ability to produce oil and gas in the United States. He believes they will grovel to OPEC and Maduro for more oil. He snarkily remarked that Biden must think Maduro’s oil isn’t contributing to climate change, but American oil is.
It’s nonsense, and it’s destructive ideology.
DeSantis added that Larry Summers and other Democratic economists cautioned Biden that he would unleash inflation if he continued this path.
DeSantis thinks the Biden Administration has been a disaster. He feels Biden must reverse course and increase energy production in the United States. He could easily accomplish that, but oil and gas leases are canceled. DeSantis believes Biden doesn’t want us to be self-sufficient and doesn’t care about paying more at the pump.
