(RoyalPatriot.com )- Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul has promised that if the Republicans take back control of the Senate in the midterm elections in November, Dr. Anthony Fauci will face an investigation into his conduct during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Paul, who would become the chairman of the Senate Health Committee in the event the Republicans win back a majority, will use his authority to subpoena Dr. Anthony Fauci and force him to testify under oath about his claims about the virus, his flip-flopping on mask mandates, and his inaccurate claims that the National Institutes of Health did not fund gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China.
“If we win in November, if I’m chairman of a committee, if I have subpoena power, we’ll go after every one of [Fauci’s] records,” Senator Paul told Lisa Boothe recently. “We’ll have an investigator go through this piece-by-piece because we don’t need this to happen again.”
Do you notice something different about what Senator Paul is doing here, compared to what the Democrats are doing with, sat, the January 6 investigation?
Instead of making a false claim – like the suggestion that former President Donald Trump incited an insurrection – Dr. Rand Paul is proposing that investigators look at everything Fauci said publicly and everything he said privately. If Fauci has nothing to hide, he should have nothing to worry about.
Rand Paul, who is an ophthalmologist, has clashed repeatedly with Dr. Fauci over the last year. During a Senate hearing, Paul got Fauci so mad that he threw insults at the libertarian Senator. Fauci even wrongly claimed that the National Institutes of Health never gave funding to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, even though Fauci was aware of funding going to the Chinese laboratory through EcoHealth Alliance.
During a recent Health Committee hearing, Fauci hit back at Senator Paul and accused him of encouraging death threats against is family. The baseless claim, however, fell flat – as Fauci’s approval ratings show. In October, a Rasmussen Reports poll showed how a majority of Americans believe Fauci “lost credibility” when he lied about NIH funding of the Wuhan lab.
