Poll Deleted After JK Rowling Becomes Person Of The Year

(RoyalPatriot.com )- The UK Guardian conducted an online poll asking readers to vote for 2021’s “Person of the Year.” But when readers overwhelmingly selected “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling, the cowardly Guardian deactivated the poll.

Rowling has become a target of the Left for acknowledging the reality of biological sex. Naturally, the anti-science cranks are accusing Rowling of being “transphobic.” Heaven forbid the Guardian let readers select J.K. Rowling at “Person of the Year.”

The Guardian posted the poll on December 15 under the headline “Tell us: who is your 2021 person of the year?” When Rowling took a commanding lead, the poll disappeared. In its place was a brief message stating, “This form has been deactivated and is closed to any further submission.”

In other words, the Guardian didn’t want its readers to “Tell us: who is your 2021 person of the year.”

In removing the poll, the Guardian inadvertently exposed the chasm between what the media class cares about and what ordinary people think. While the media join in the effort to turn Rowling’s common sense into controversy, out here in the real world, ordinary people appreciate Rowling’s willingness to stand up to a tiny but noisy mob of unhinged lunatics.

Ordinary people are sick of cowards who cave to the Outrage Mob.

Speaking of cowards, the Guardian has not explained why it removed its poll. Not that an explanation was necessary. It was obvious why. The Guardian was afraid of becoming just as much of a target of the outrage mob as J.K. Rowling.

Over the weekend, HBO celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the release of the first Harry Potter movie with the special “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.”

The Leftwing cranks demanded that J.K. Rowling not be allowed to appear in the special over her so-called “transphobic” remarks. Ultimately, HBO did a semi-cave.

Rather than feature any new footage of Rowling, the special only included archive footage of the creator of the Harry Potter books. But even that was too much for these cranks. Vulture.com went so far as to count the number of times the Harry Potter actors uttered Rowling’s name.
