(RoyalPatriot.com )- Following the news that American lawyer and former United States Senator for Nevada Harry Reid passed away last week, disgraced former President Barack Obama mourned his passing and released a private letter he sent to Reid in his final days before passing.
Reid, who was considered one of the most influential Democrats in politics, owing to his more than thirty years in public political life, was responsible for passing major pieces of Democratic legislation during Obama’s time in office. One of his crowning achievements, along with the Obama administration, was passing the wildly unpopular Affordable Care Act that…didn’t make healthcare more affordable.
Obama shared the letter on his Instagram profile, confirming that he had permission to share the communication from Reid’s wife, Landra Reid, who had asked him and others to write letters that could be read to her husband before he passed.
The former president told Reid in the letter that he was a “great leader in the Senate” and that he was more generous to Obama than he had “any right to expect.”
“I wouldn’t have been president had it not been for your encouragement and support,” he added.
Well, it turns out we can thank Harry Reid for the Obama years…
“As different as we are, I think we both saw something of ourselves in each other,” Obama added – as any true narcissist would say.
He added that they made for a “pretty good team.”
