Mitt Romney Silent On His Reversal Of Judge Jackson

(RoyalPatriot.com )- Flip-flop Romney strikes again.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), nor his office, were able to explain why Utah’s junior senator opposed Ketanji Brown Jackson being appointed to a federal circuit judge last year but supported her appointment to the Supreme Court this year.

In 2021, Romney felt the same as 43 other Senate Republicans who opposed Jackson’s pursuit of a seat on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals.

But Romney indicated in a statement on Monday that he will back Brown’s Supreme Court candidacy, saying that he believes Judge Jackson is a well-qualified judge and a person of honor. He determined this after examining her record and testimony.

While he wasn’t confident that he would agree with every judgment she makes on the Court, he believes she exceeds the bar of “excellence and integrity”.

He congratulated Judge Jackson on her upcoming confirmation and said he looked forward to her continued service to our country.

Romney’s support for Jackson contrasts with Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), who voted to approve Jackson for the circuit judge position.

On the other hand, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) voted to affirm Jackson for the circuit judgeship but stated that he would oppose her Supreme Court candidacy.

Graham noted that his decision was based on Judge Jackson’s history of judicial activism, a faulty sentencing methodology in child pornography cases, and a view that the law’s plain meaning will not discourage Judge Jackson from supporting liberal causes. Judge Jackson strikes Graham as a person of “exceptionally good character” who is well-liked by her peers and has worked hard to reach her current position. Her record, on the other hand, is striking in its absence of a consistent judicial ideology
Graham figured out why Judge Jackson was the darling of the Radical Left after a comprehensive analysis of Judge Jackson’s record and because of the information learned at the hearing, despite her being an evasive witness.
Judge Jackson famously avoided defining what a woman is. She also said she does not know when life begins.
