“Missing” Letter Warned Of School Shooter’s Obsession With Violence

(RoyalPatriot.com )- The psychiatrist who treated Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz claimed last week that he had never received a letter from the school over the student’s obsession with violence, according to Just the News. Cruz shot and killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, 2018.

It has been reported that Cross Creek School health officials, Dr. Nyrma Ortiz and therapist Rona O’Connor, wrote a 2014 letter to Dr. Brett Negin, who was Cruz’s psychiatrist. They allegedly wrote of the 15-year-old that “He is usually very irritable and reactive” and that “he dreams of killing others.”

“At home, he continues to be aggressive and destructive with minimal provocation,” the pair continued.

Dr. Negin testified under oath as part of trial procedures to determine whether Cruz, who already pleaded guilty to the murder of 17 people, will receive life in prison or the death penalty. Negin “testified Thursday he never received the letter and no one followed up with him when he didn’t respond,” the Associated Press reported.

Negin also claims that he wrote a letter to Cruz’s mother that the child should be voluntarily admitted to a hospital, but he never was. The teen was taking medication for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and other disorders, but Negin alleges that he never saw behavior that indicated that Cruz was capable of mass murder.

The defense argues that Cruz was born mentally damaged after his biological mother, a sex worker, abused alcohol and crack while pregnant. His adopted mother, Lynda Cruz, was not able to deal with his behavior and emotional deficits and so he was never able to receive the treatment he needed.

In 2018, Cruz killed 14 students and three staffers with an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle. He mercilessly made a second round passed injured students to shoot them dead.

The verdict must be unanimous in decided whether Cruz will receive the death penalty, If one juror votes “no,” then Cruz will be sent to prison for life.
