Donald Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen has recently opened up about his feelings towards the former president following his recent hush money trial in which both men were legally involved. The recent business fraud trial of Donald Trump came to a close last week after over a month of multiple testimonies, gag orders placed on Trump, and poll numbers for the presumptive Republican nominee soaring. The trial was based on the allegations that in 2016 former President Trump paid adult film star Stormy Daniels $130,000 to silence her claim that the two had an alleged affair in 2006. Cohen was a key witness in the trial who testified against his former boss. Last week, Donald Trump was found guilty on all 34 charges of falsifying business documents.
It seems as though former attorney Michael Cohen is ready for public outrage against him as he helped convict one of the most popular political figures in America. In an interview with MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace, Cohen stated that Trump is a vindictive man to those who have wronged him. Cohen continued by saying he wants peace after his involvement in Trump’s case. Cohen stated that there can’t be peace while Trump is around.
The former attorney explained that it is a theme in Trump’s life to “hit” back harder at those who have gone against him, referencing it in Trump’s publications. Cohen stated to Wallace that as long as the two are still alive, Trump will be out to get Cohen, with Cohen ending his statement that he will not be a “punching bag” for Trump in the future. Before their conversation, Wallace asked Cohen how he was feeling after the intense trial and Cohen stated that he was “hanging in there”.
Trump has already publicly condemned the outcome of his trial, targeting Judge Juan Merchan who oversaw the case. Trump stated to press officials that the trial was “rigged” and “disgraceful”.
