Media Slobbers Over Adam Schiff Book

( )- Just as the RussiaGate hoax falls apart at the seams, its biggest proponent has released a book perpetrating his RussiaGate conspiracy theories.

Adam Schiff is making the media rounds promoting his ill-timed book. And despite Durham’s investigation revealing just how fraudulent the basis of the entire Russian collusion hoax was, the media is once again giving Adam Schiff a platform to peddle his lies.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Russia Conspiracy Theorist Rachel Maddow even spent fifteen minutes straight reading from a galley copy of Schiff’s book during an October broadcast of her MSNBC show. She then followed that up with a gushing, slobbering interview with the thoroughly-discredited Schiff.

Glowing headlines, fawning interviews. It’s as if we’re back in 2018 when Schiff was the media’s face of the Russian Collusion investigation.

But what choice do the media have?

In promoting Schiff’s book, they aren’t trying to salvage Adam Schiff’s reputation. They’re trying to salvage their own.

It was the American corporate news media that fell for the RussiaGate hoax hook, line, and sinker. They promoted every scurrilous claim in the Steele Dossier and gave Schiff an outsized platform to peddle his unsubstantiated lies.

In the first 30 months of President Trump’s term, Adam Schiff was such a perpetual fixture, he gave a total of 419 interviews on national television for a cumulative 49 hours, 39 minutes, and 42 seconds of airtime.

According to Edelman’s 2021 “Trust Barometer,” 56 percent of Americans now believe that the news media purposely try to mislead the public “by saying things they know are false or gross exaggerations.”

Fifty-seven percent say news organizations are more focused on “supporting an ideology or political position than with informing the public.”

In a sane world, the news media would drop Adam Schiff like a hot rock as soon as it was clear that he had no credibility. But the American corporate media doesn’t inhabit a sane world.

So instead of creating some distance between themselves and this serial liar, they celebrate him and amplify his lies all over again.
