(RoyalPatriot.com )- Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany was inexplicably absent from her usual Fox News spot on Wednesday, sparking discussion on left-wing news websites that she was likely speaking with legislators as part of the ultra-partisan House select committee that claims to be investigating the origins of the January 6 riot.
CNN reported that McEnany was addressing the committee remotely, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Even if she was…so what? Being subpoenaed by the ultra-partisan committee, which is based on the inaccurate presumption that former President Donald Trump inspired a literal insurrection in Washington, D.C., last year, doesn’t mean guilt. It just means that the Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans on the panel decided that McEnany should be dragged into their political theater productions as well.
Rep. Bennie Thompson, a far-left Democratic legislator who also chairs the committee, said that subpoenaing McEnany was part of a wider effort to speak to those who were close with the former president.
“The select committee wants to learn every detail of what went on in the White House on Jan 6 and in the days beforehand,” he said.
Interesting. If they’re so focused on finding out the truth, why did far-left House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refuse to seat pro-Trump Republicans on the committee who could have provided a valuable insight into how the presumption that January 6 was an “insurrection” inspired by the former president is wrong?
Do they want the truth or not?
CNN congressional correspondents also told Jake Tapper on CNN that McEnany had addressed the panel following a series of delays.
