Kanye West Announces He Cast His First-Ever Presidential Vote…For Himself

(RoyalPatriot.com)- Rapper Kanye West really didn’t give up his presidential campaign, despite a series of disasters throughout the campaign season that saw him fail to appear on ballots across the country. On Tuesday, West announced that he had cast his first-ever vote in a presidential election.

“God is so good,” he said on Twitter.

“Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the President of the United States, and it’s for someone I truly trust…me.”

West’s campaign has been marred with confusion and some anger. Democrats initially expressed their concern that West’s campaign was a ploy to get black voters to vote for him instead of Joe Biden, suspecting that West’s former support for President Donald Trump might indicate the campaign was a ploy to help the president.

Over time, however, President Donald Trump has proved that he is capable of picking up more Black voters on his own. Polls show President Trump is narrowing the racial gap between the Republicans and Democrats. President Trump won 8% of the Black vote in 2016, but campaign officials are speculating he could go beyond 15%.

On election day, West published a series of tweets in which he made several huge campaign promises.

“We will cure hunger,” he said in one tweet.

“We as a people will heal,” he said in another. “We will insure [sic] the well being of each other.”

West also took our a two-page advertisement in the New York Times at the end of October, writing that he will “hold everyone accountable to love.”

Kanye West appeared on the ballot paper in 12 states.
