(RoyalPatriot.com )- Ever since the leak of Justice Samuel Alito’s draft opinion in the Dobbs case, Democrat politicians have been using the leaked draft as a pretense to once again demand ending the Senate filibuster, expanding the number of justices on the Court, and “codifying Roe v. Wade” by passing a federal law making abortion legal during all 9 months of pregnancy in all fifty states.
In short, the coordinated leak is giving Democrats yet another reason to destroy the Senate and the Supreme Court while exposing their radical position on abortion.
It’s as if Democrats want to completely destroy their chances in November.
Squad member Ilhan Omar demanded that the Supreme Court be expanded so President Biden can nominate additional leftwing justices to override the current conservative majority. She claimed on Twitter that overturning Roe v. Wade “would put the lives of women across the country at risk,” and would go against “the overwhelming majority of public opinion.”
That, of course, is a lie.
The vast majority of Americans support restrictions on abortion, limiting it to either the first or first and second trimester. What’s more overturning Roe v. Wade doesn’t outlaw abortion. Women’s lives aren’t going to be put at risk unless Omar means the female babies who get killed by abortion.
Nearly every Democrat senator, including Kirsten Gillibrand, Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders, and Mark Kelly, is demanding that the Senate once again hold a vote on the legislation to “codify Roe v. Wade” making abortion legal through all nine months of pregnancy.
The Democrat-controlled Senate attempted to pass this bill once before, but it failed to get the 60 votes necessary to break the filibuster. So now they’re demanding the filibuster be abolished so the bill could pass with a simple majority. But the same problem holds. Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin oppose abolishing the filibuster.
In short, Chuck Schumer wants to hold a vote he knows he will lose because he thinks it will help Democrats in November.
But the extreme rhetoric, the hysterical claims, and the violence from leftwing “activists” will no doubt have the opposite effect.
It will expose just how radical and extreme the Democrat Party has become on abortion. And in a country where the vast majority of Americans want restrictions on abortion, that kind of extremism will be a turnoff.
