Hunter Biden May Face Charges As Investigation Goes Into Full Swing

( )- The president’s son, Hunter Biden, revealed that he was under investigation by the Department of Justice over his taxes. Now, federal prosecutors may reportedly bring a case against him as over his taxes, foreign lobbying, money laundering and false statement he made about the purchase of a gun.

Clint Lancaster, who is the lawyer for Biden’s baby mama, Lunden Roberts, handed over “a significant amount of Hunter’s financial records” to the feds under subpoena, according to CNBC. After looking through Biden’s financial statements, Lancaster said that he expects him to be indicted.

The investigation into Biden is allegedly reaching its critical stage as it now hones in on his money laundering schemes and purchase of a firearm. CNN reports that,

“Discussions recently have centered around possibly bringing charges that could include alleged tax violations and making a false statement in connection with Biden’s purchase of a firearm at a time he would have been prohibited from doing so because of his acknowledged struggles with drug addiction.”

Earlier this month, Republican Representative James Comer of Kentucky asked the treasury secretary Janet Yellen to provide information on Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings. Joe Biden claims to know nothing about Hunter’s business, however, a leaked voicemail was uncovered where the then vice-president explicitly asked his son about his dealings overseas.

U.S. banks have flagged Hunter Biden’s affairs as suspicious, prompting the Republican representative to write a letter to Yellen about turning over relevant details to the Oversight Committee for investigation. He reached out to Yellen a couple times receiving no response.

“The American people deserve to know whether the President’s connections to his son’s business deals occurred at the expense of the United States’ interests and whether they represent a national security threat,” the letter stated.

Comer also sent letters to U.S. and foreign banks for information that might show or not show that Hunter Biden “sold access into the top tier of the government to enemies of the United States.” They have not complied because they are not required to without subpoenas.
