Hillary Clinton Is Quietly Working On Presidential Bid, Ex-Advisor Says

(RoyalPatriot.com )- Failed 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has to this point denied that she has any interest running for president in 2024 — or any time in the future, for that matter.

But, Dick Morris, a veteran political consultant who was once an aide for Hillary’s husband Bill Clinton, said the former New York senator and Secretary of State is actually angling to put herself in a good position to seek the Democratic nomination in 2024.

Speaking on a radio show with John Catsimatidis recently, Morris said that Hillary was “dusting off” the playbook that her husband Bill created, as she’s criticizing the “open borders” plans put forth by the Biden administration.

By doing so, and through many of her other critical comments about the Biden administration, Hillary is putting herself in a position to run as the “moderate choice” in the Democratic Party. President Joe Biden — who can still run for re-election — is now seen as a much more progressive candidate.

As Morris said on the radio show:

“I see more and more signs that Hillary’s going to run.”

Pointing directly to her recent remarks about how Americans “do not believe in open borders,” Morris added:

“These are all signals that she is going to be the moderate candidate for president. She’s going to say after the election, ‘See, the left cost us the House and the Senate. If we stay with a left-wing candidate in 2024, we’re going to lose the White House. I’m the only one who will tack to the center and give us a chance at victory.'”

For his part, Morris said he’s very aware of the strategy that Hillary is currently employing “because it’s the strategy I designed for Bill Clinton in 1992,” which is when he won the nomination in the Democratic Party for president. As Morris explained:

“Hillary is just dusting off Bill’s playbook that I wrote for him and applying it to herself this year.”

The natural inclination for the upcoming presidential election is that the sitting president will almost always automatically win his party’s nomination if he decides to run for re-election. Biden hasn’t announced officially that he’s going to run again in 2024, but it’s a foregone conclusion that he eventually will.

What makes this election cycle different than others in the past is that there’s a real shot that Biden might not win the Democratic nomination even if he does seek re-election. He’s failed pretty miserably in just his first two years in the White House, with approval numbers way down in the basement.

It’s not just Republicans who don’t like him, either. Even Democrats seem to prefer another candidate. And as Morris explained, he believes that a majority over Democrats would support Hillary if she were to run because they fear that an even more left-wing candidate might ultimately win the party’s nomination.

As he said:

“Once Biden pulls out, the polling will show that the Democrats are leaning toward some crazy radical like [California Governor] Gavin Newsom, [Vermont Senator] Bernie Sanders. Maybe even AOC (Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) herself.

“That’s going to drive the Democratic Party leaders to go to Hillary and say, ‘Hey, look, Please run again. We need you to save us from the crazy left.'”
