Ghislaine Maxwell’s Family Defends Her Despite Horrific Allegations

( )- Ghislaine Maxwell, the former partner of dead billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, appears to be getting a lot of support from her family as she awaits trial over accusations that she helped Epstein recruit young girls for sex. Maxwell’s family has launched a new website named “Real Ghislaine” to portray their relative as a nice woman who wouldn’t commit the kind of horrific crimes she is accused of.

“This website has been developed and is maintained by brothers, sisters, family & friends of Ghislaine Maxwell, the people who have known the real Ghislaine all her life, not the fictional one-dimensional character created by the media,” the new website reads.

In 2020, Maxwell was indicted on charges relating to Epstein’s crimes, accused of transporting minors for the purpose of criminal sexual activity. Maxwell is also accused of conspiring to entice minors to travel to engage in those illegal acts. Epstein was understood to have transported young girls and women from all over the country to his various mansions and luxury homes where he would have them perform “massages” on him.

Prosecutors say that Maxwell helped Epstein groom young girls, though she denies the allegations. Maxwell has repeatedly tried to be released on bond, but judges have denied her request every time over suspicions that she would use her access to Epstein’s wealth and connections to flee the country.

On the new website, one relative complains about the treatment Maxwell has received while awaiting trial in a Brooklyn federal jail.

“Ghislaine is daily subjected to a range of invasive procedures. These include multiple physical searches a day, including having guards looking inside her mouth (i.e. no social distancing); and the pointing of a flashlight into her isolation cell – where she is held approximately 12 hours every day – every 15 minutes during the night, making sleep impossible for her,” the new website reveals.

A judge previously ruled, however, that Maxwell has access to all the same leisure facilities as other inmates, and was not being treated unfairly.

Maxwell’s family also complains on the new site over her denial of bond, saying that she has been continually denied bail “despite others who have faced far more heinous allegations being bailed.”

Is there much more heinous than conspiring to have girls raped?

Maxwell’s trial is expected to take place this summer.
