Fox News Dominates Competition

( )- Fox News may have fallen out of favor with many conservatives following their disastrous coverage of the 2020 presidential election, and the network’s decision to prematurely call a number of states, but the network is growing again.

Figures show that during May, Fox completely dominated, beating all cable news competitors in total daytime viewers and primetime viewers. Meanwhile, left-wing propaganda network CNN saw a significant portion of its audience migrate to other networks or tuning out completely as their election coverage bump slowly dissipates.

Fox revealed how the network averaged 2.2 million primetime viewers through May, and finished the month as the only basic cable channel that averaged over two million viewers between 8pm and 11pm ET. MSNBC came second, but it wasn’t exactly close – the network had an average of 1.5 million viewers in the same time period.

HGTV, ESPN, and TNT took the remaining spots in the top five, with CNN way behind and failing to even reach an average of one million viewers.

That’s a disaster for the network.

CNN could only attract 913,000 viewers on average, even with its top primetime personalities Anderson Cooper, Don Lemon, and Chris Cuomo. Every single one of these anchors, who are the most highly paid and most-watched on CNN, saw two-thirds of their January viewers simply…switch off.

It turns out that when CNN bragged about its rocketing viewership during the election, it wasn’t a sign that the country agrees with the network’s extreme takes on the election and its support for radical movements like Black Lives Matter…but a sign that people were tuning into networks generally to see what was happening with the election.

Now that the election is over, and now that interested viewers are not tuning in to see what conspiracy theories CNN is pushing, the network is quickly declining.

Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson continues to lead the way. The firebrand conservative news anchor and his “Tucker Carlson Tonight” show finished off the month as the most-watched show in all of cable news, averaging 2.9 million viewers. Sean Hannity came an extremely close second with 2.6 million viewers.

The only person who even came close was the insufferable Rachel Maddow and her “Rachel Maddow Show” with 2.5 million viewers on average.

Fox is very much back.
