Football Star Goes Missing After Mother Found Dead

Former NFL player Sergio Brown is wanted by police after the body of his mother, Myrtle Brown, 73, was discovered in a stream behind their house.

Reports show that the family alerted police on Saturday when they had been unable to locate Sergio or his mother.

Police discovered Myrtle Brown’s corpse, and on Sunday, a medical examiner concluded that she had been assaulted. Records acquired by local media indicate that her death was considered a murder.

Reports show that defensive back Sergio Brown played for the Colts, Jaguars, Patriots, and Bills between 2010 and 2016. Brown played football at Notre Dame after graduating High School.

Sergio Brown’s brother posted an appeal for his whereabouts on social media.

Carlos Cortez, Myrtle Brown’s next-door neighbor, told local news that he last saw Myrtle and Sergio together on Thursday.

Investigators viewed disturbing footage from Cortez’s Ring Doorbell.

They saw Brown burning his mother’s clothing in a bonfire, and they saw him hauling away garbage, Cortez added. They say he hasn’t been himself for a while. He clearly had mental issues.

The Illinois State Police have not commented on rumors that ex-NFL player Sergio Brown has been hiding out in Mexico.

As recordings from a social media account associated with Sergio Brown began to surface, the case took a strange turn. Officials stated that they were looking into the integrity of the tweets in which a man, who is assumed to be Brown, claimed the FBI had abducted him and that his mother was away on vacation.

A report claims that an investigation by Maywood police suspects the location of one of the videos to be coming from Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

According to the Maywood, Illinois, police department, they received a tip that Brown was last seen at the Sabbia Condos via someone who pin-pointed the area using Google Lens.
