Food Network Star Arrested For Violent Crimes

On January 9, Chef Darnell Ferguson was taken into custody and sent to the Louisville, Kentucky, Metro Corrections Department.

The former star of the Food Network was taken into jail and is now facing charges, including two counts of burglary in the 2nd degree and one case of strangling in the first degree against him.

Reports show accusations of an assault on Tatahda Ferguson, Ferguson’s estranged wife, led to his felony arrest in Kentucky on accusations of burglary and strangling.

Assault, menacing, terroristic threats, criminal mischief, and theft/receipt of a stolen debit or credit card are among the misdemeanor counts that the chef is also facing.

Darnell reportedly stormed Tatahda’s St. Matthews residence on January 2 and started screaming and pounding walls, according to an arrest report on January 9. According to the warrant, he proceeded to threaten her life before reportedly grabbing her neck and strangling her.

According to the warrant, Tatahda allegedly suffered scratches, redness, and pain in her neck, as well as an injury to her upper thigh. The police were summoned and photographed the injuries. Tatahda was taken to the hospital for medical care.

Documents acquired by the media indicate that Ferguson appeared in court and entered a not-guilty plea. With a $10,000 bond and an order to stay away from the victim, he was freed.
January 18 is the date of the preliminary hearing.

Ferguson has a history of trouble with the law. He spent six years behind bars after an arrest for narcotics sales. But his culinary skills helped him overcome his problems, and he went on to launch a television career.

“Supermarket Stakeout,” “Chopped,” and “Guy’s Grocery Games” are just a few of the Food Network series that Ferguson has been on. His hosting duties for the January 2023 season of “Worst Cooks in America” were shared with chef Anne Burrell.

The Big Holiday Food Fight, Home Town Takeover, and others on HGTV have featured Ferguson.

He was the owner of That Drippin Crab and Super Chefs, two eateries in Louisville, Kentucky.
