(RoyalPatriot.com )- It’s amazing how many news sites and outlets leap on every single tweet Tesla CEO Elon Musk sends out, scrutinizing every word like Musk’s tweets are the Dead Sea Scrolls. Do they all have a reporter assigned to the Musk Tweet Beat?
Last week, Elon Musk tweeted that he enjoys movie theater popcorn and soda fountain Diet Coke.
Wow. Stop the presses! What kind of monster is he?!
Musk was replying to a tweet from author Daniel Crosby who was describing how little his life has improved since he stopped drinking Diet Coke. In his reply, Musk admitted that he thought Diet Coke was “amazing,” especially from a movie theater soda fountain accompanied by salty, buttery popcorn.
In a follow-up reply, Musk said he didn’t care if Diet Coke and popcorn might lower his life expectancy, adding that there was “something special about enjoying movies in a theater with total strangers.”
For some reason, these tweets were deemed “newsworthy” by some outlets.
Why? Who knows?
“Man has a congenial conversation on Twitter about the joy of going to the movies, news at eleven.”
Doesn’t anyone have anything more important to report on than Elon Musk’s innocuous tweets? Like 41-year-high inflation, record-high gas prices, a looming recession, a stock market crash, or plummeting consumer confidence?
It’s one thing to land with both feet on every halfway controversial comment Musk may make on Twitter. But there is nothing controversial about him admitting that he likes Diet Coke and movie popcorn.
