(RoyalPatriot.com )- Community activist groups on Tuesday called for Orange County, California, District Attorney Todd Spitzer to resign, accusing him of making derogatory and racist comments when discussing a murder case in 2021.
Eyewitness News obtained a memo last week revealing that Spitzer made the allegedly racist comments during a meeting that discussed the case of Jamon Buggs, a man charged with murdering two people over jealousy relating to his White ex-girlfriend.
Reports suggest that the memo was written by Brahim Baytieh, the former Senior Assistant District Attorney, in December of last year. It relayed information about a meeting held at that time, in which senior prosecutors discussed what the appropriate punishment for Buggs would be. Prosecutors were considering whether Buggs should be given the death penalty or life without the possibility of parole.
The memo appears to suggest that Spitzer claimed during the meeting that Buggs, who is Black, knows other Black people who “get themselves out of their bad circumstances and bad situations by only dating white women.”
It prompted immediate condemnation from left-wing activists group, including from the National Action Network of Orange County.
Lori Condinum, a representative of the so-called “civil rights” group that was founded by well-known race-baiter Reverend Al Sharpton, said that his “racist remarks” mean that he should be disqualified from office.
She claimed that the fact he brought race into a conversation about a “government-sanctions murder” means that the entire criminal justice system’s integrity was brought into question.
Spitzer, however, hasn’t risen to it. Instead of engaging with left-wing activists trying desperately to cancel him, he issued a polite statement saying that he had made an “inartful comment” during an “hours-long debate.” He recommitted to his core beliefs that he wishes to make “society more equitable and our communities safe for everyone.”
So, sure, he did parrot the far-left line about “equity” but he seems to have done a decent job of not rising to it. Just check out his Twitter and you’ll see that he’s going about business as normal.
That’s always the best way to deal with the cancel mobs.
