(RoyalPatriot.com )- The people living near the massive $43 million San Diego oceanfront estate purportedly owned by billionaire Bill Gates aren’t especially happy with the endless construction at the property.
According to news reports, the existing 6-bedroom, 3.5 bath, 5,800 square foot home allegedly owned by Gates has been completely demolished and is being rebuilt at the direction of Gates. Neighboring residents, however, are growing irritated over all the disruption and noise this construction is causing.
It was reported that Gates and his ex-wife Melinda purchased the estate in March 2020 from Madeleine Pickens, the ex-wife of Texas billionaire T. Boone Pickens. But construction on the property didn’t begin until about three months ago.
A local realtor said the home was in “immaculate condition” when it was sold and she didn’t understand why the property was torn down entirely.
While the estate remains under construction, the property is under 24-hour security protection. It is expected construction will be complete by August at the latest. But at this point, construction still has a long way to go. So contractors are working on the house around the clock, much to the frustration of the neighbors.
One resident complained to the New York Post that her baby can’t sleep from all the noise next door.
According to inside sources, Bill Gates plans to use the upscale Del Mar neighborhood estate as his summer bachelor pad.
But whether or not Gates is the actual owner remains unclear.
The New York Post reported that a spokesperson for Bill Gates is disputing the prior reporting on the purchase of this Del Mar property. According to this spokesperson, Gates does not own the property, nor has he ever been there.
