(RoyalPatriot.com )- According to a report, President Biden presented his budget proposal during a speech in Philadelphia recently, and in doing so, he highlighted former president Trump by calling him the past president and perhaps future president, which sparked boos from the crowd and prompted Biden to say a brief prayer.
Biden noted an analogy between the PPP program, which paid payments to companies during the Covid-19 outbreak so that they could continue in business and maintain people on the payroll, and his plan to cancel student loan debt, which is presently being contested in court.
Biden remarked that when he was a 2020 candidate, he and Trump had a “big fight” about the program.
What Biden didn’t mention about the “big fight” was that President Donald Trump wanted America to return to work and end programs enabling fraud.
Reports show the U.S. government granted $5.4 billion in fraudulent pandemic loans, as reported by the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee (PRAC), a government watchdog monitoring pandemic-era expenditures. PRAC investigated the loans and discovered 69,323 dubious Social Security numbers.
The research compiled data on disbursed loans between April 2020 and October 2022.
Michael Horowitz, Inspector General of the DOJ and Head of the PRAC Committee, stated that he believed people made a deliberate choice. They’ll get the funds out, and in the case of fraud, they’ll track it afterward. And that’s not acceptable.
Horowitz observed that fundamental identity-checking procedures were not followed. A “Do Not Pay” mechanism is in place at the Treasury, but over 55,000 loans were disbursed to people on the Do Not Pay roster in the first two weeks. They also did not compare the information with the Social Security Administration’s database of dead persons.
According to a report, the government has forgiven nearly all Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans given to wealthy celebrities and government officials.
Consequently, taxpayers will be on the hook for billions that companies linked to the elites won’t have to reimburse.
