Biden Promises To “Work LIke The Devil” As Gas Prices Surge

( )- On Monday, President Joe Biden attempted to quell fears that oil prices – and therefore, gas prices at the pump – will soar even further in the coming weeks and months. The president said that he would “work like the devil to get gas prices down” during the National Association of Counties 2022 Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C.

The comments come only a matter of months after the president released oil from the nation’s strategic oil reserves.

Doesn’t President Biden realize that the simplest way out of this mess, at least for now, is to walk back his war on oil? Domestic production of oil would have a huge impact on the cost of gas and even give Russia – one of the world’s top oil suppliers – less leverage on Ukraine…

In November, President Biden announced a plan to release 50 million barrels of oil to help keep the cost down domestically. That’s a bigger release of the nation’s strategic oil reserves than any other president in modern history.

When Biden took office in January 2021, the average cost of a gallon of gasoline at the pump was $2.37. It was getting lower, too, thanks to President Donald Trump’s efforts to promote American energy independence.

Now, though, the average cost of a gallon of gas is roughly $3.48, with states like California spending $4.5 on average.

During his speech, Biden tried to make it appear as though he shares the concerns of the American working class.

“I grew up in a family where the price at the pump was felt in the kitchen…everybody knew, everybody felt it, I understand,” he said.

Well, does he? Because if he understood, it seems like he’d be doing something about it…
