Benjamin Netanyahu Issues Warning About Joe Biden

( )- Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went hard against the new coalition government and Prime Minister on Sunday, using his final speech at the Knesset as Prime Minister to criticize incoming Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

He even took aim at U.S. President Joe Biden, slamming him and his administration for planning to revive the failed 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal.

The 71-year-old Israeli leader called Bennett a political lightweight, which must have been particularly insulting given that Bennett was once his political protégé. He said that the incoming Prime Minister didn’t have the talent to do the job well.

Netanyahu was ousted as Prime Minister after Bennett put together a new coalition government consisting of political parties from the far-left and the far-right, including a minor political party that advocates for Palestine.

The former Israeli PM discussed at length the challenges of dealing with the United States and revealed that the Biden administration had reached out to him to not discuss their disagreement on Iran publicly.

“But with all due respect, I can’t do that,” Netanyahu said.

He stressed that Israel’s Prime Minister must be able to say “no” to the President of the United States, and even compared the efforts by the Biden administration to restart the agreement with Iran to the decision made by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt not to use bombs to destroy the train tracks leading to Auschwitz.

The scathing attack on his replacement and the United States president seems to mark an end to an era when the U.S. Presidency and Israeli leadership were close and unified on issues of foreign policy. It also marks a new era of both former President Donald Trump and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fighting back against the political establishment.
