(RoyalPatriot.com )- Reports show Shehu Sani, a former senator who served as the representative for Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate, narrowly escaped an attempt on his life. The plot was foiled by a joint team from the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian police.
According to information from Sahara Reporters, the incident occurred on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in the state of Kaduna. The security agents listened in on a telephone conversation that discussed a plot to kill Senator Shehu Sani. As a result, the operatives were compelled to increase the security surrounding the Senator. It was recommended that Sani wait it out at home while the security agents searched for the people responsible for the attack.
Reports show that two people have reportedly been taken into custody in connection with the plot, according to a source who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
The source stated that the investigation into the matter was being stepped up by the security team.
The source explained that they listened to some people’s telephone conversations about the plot to kill Senator Shehu Sani. The source claimed he could assure that the Senator is safe at this very moment and that the situation is currently under control. The investigation ended with two people being taken into custody.
According to reports, Sani has been a critic of the government led by Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State and the government that President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria leads. He has done this by speaking the truth to power about issues such as insecurity, injustice, corruption, and poor governance.
It was also reported that unidentified assailants recently took the life of Victoria Chintex, the women’s leader of the Labour Party (LP), in the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State under mysterious circumstances.
The assailants entered her home in Kaura and opened fire, killing her. Her husband had been shot and is currently being cared for at a medical facility after suffering injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.
Things are tough all over.
