Actor Ben Savage Indicates Run for Adam Schiff’s U.S. House Seat

(RoyalPatriot.com )- Actor Ben Savage worked for then-U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter, a Republican from Pennsylvania, in 2003 while attending Stanford to study political science. In a 2014 interview with the publication, Savage said he believed the internship would be enjoyable and that contacts are the key to success in DC.

When questioned about whether or not he was considering a career in politics, he said, “Politics and acting have a lot in common. I’m not sure… To be able to achieve it, you must be a really particular breed.”

Since 2014, Ben has indicated he is that “particular breed.”

The star of the 1990s comedy “Boy Meets World” is said to be running for office in 2024.

Savage’s hometown of West Hollywood, Burbank, a portion of Pasadena, and other cities are all included in California’s 30th District.

According to Wednesday’s filings with the Federal Election Commission, Savage, 42, has declared himself a Democratic contender for the 30th House District in California, according to Fox 11 LA. Seven people are fighting for the position in 2024, including him. There is just one Republican.

Since 2001, Adam Schiff has represented this California district in the US House of Representatives.

Schiff is said to be seeking Dianne Feinstein’s Senate seat in the 2024 election if she decides not to run for re-election.

Savage unsuccessfully competed for a seat on the West Hollywood Council in the 2022 election. His 2022 campaign’s tagline was “Together We Can Do Better.”

Although Savage and his team have not made any public announcements about this campaign, when he campaigned for the West Hollywood City Council, he prioritized neighborhood safety, boosting the local economy, and providing homes for the homeless.

Ben is the younger brother of “The Wonder Years” actor Fred Savage.

Savage rose to fame in the 1990s, playing the role of Cory Matthews on “Boy Meets World” from 1993 to 2000. In the spinoff, “Girl Meets World,” which aired from 2014 to 2017, he returned to reprise his role as Matthews.
